We have covered many articles about why you should hire a professional wedding photographer (like this) because it is so important and why you should maximize your budget. However, there are still some couples who make mistakes when it comes to their wedding photography, so we rounded up 5 common mistakes as follows:
1. Belonging to the importance of photography.
You should maximize your budget, you should put great importance on wedding photography. Because? At the end of your wedding day, the cake will be eaten, the flowers will go dry, the location will be cleaned and all that remains will be remembered. What better way to capture and retain memories so you can show them to family, friends, grandchildren, through wedding photos. We hear a lot of brides focusing on creating their dream wedding, focus on getting everything perfect, but forget that it’s just a single day and they do not think to maximize their budget to hire a professional wedding photographer to capture their day, their perfect wedding car they dreamed and spent months planning and creating. Make sure to capture your day and your perfect wedding. It is the only thing that will happen when the day is over and it will last forever.
2. Reservations “last minute” and disappointment
You have set your budget for your wedding photography, you have maximized the best possible so that you can afford the best photographer. Everything verified so far, however, does not make a decision and then, when you realize that you still need to hire someone, you may be disappointed when the wedding photographer you want is already hired for your date. As soon as you have decided your wedding venue and the date is confirmed, you should book your wedding photographer. No matter what your budget the best wedding photographers are going to make reservations up to 2 years in advance. So do not wait a couple of months before your big day and be surprised that they are booked. Our advice is, as soon as you have the date and place, find the perfect wedding photographer and book them.
3. Lists photos
When choosing and hiring your perfect wedding photographer you chose because you love their style, you choose them because you’re okay to work with them and choose them because you trust them. If there are a couple of beautiful shots you want, family portraits, mom and bride etc; tell them to your photographer, but do not tell them and show them all the pictures you want. You are taking them because you trust them because you have seen the portfolio and that you love their style. There is no need to give them a long list of shots that you want; trust them to do their job and capture moments that you have not even thought about, or even thought it would happen not to mention being captured. Let your photographer capture real moments and use their years of experience to produce the best story of your day.
4. Pockets … empty your pockets
No, this is not a robbery, we’re talking stallions, witnesses, actually someone who has the pockets, you want photos from your wedding to be delivered with swollen pockets, or shots with guests with their wallets, keys, and phones imprinted on the sides of their trousers. I do not think so. If you are the groom you need your wallet? Do you need the keys? And if the most important people in your life are there with you on this special day then why do you need the phone? So empty your pockets and enjoy the day, keep them in a safe place and forget about them.
5. Put the phone out
Please ask your guests not to do it or not, maybe ask them to have a cutting point, you can take pictures if you want up to this time, so please put the phone and camera away and enjoy the rest of the day with us. Have you considered a “disconnected” marriage? These are just 5 things we heard when it came to wedding photography and mistakes and stories that we find out from couples. So be sure to consider and think about these so as not to fall down into these “traps” and make the same mistakes.
